1. First Episode
Susan leaves Kip at the alter and returns to The Gate. She summons up the courage to ask her boss and nearly brother in law Jack for her job back and he promotes her to write her own column.
2. Dr. No
Susan becomes overly assertive while reporting on a self help guru at Jack's request. Todd saves the life of a woman who wants to repay him with sex despite his claims of celibacy.
3. The Best Laid Plans
Susan and Vicki search for a man after writing a sex survey but the one they choose turns out to be an ex con. The two meet Todd in the library attending a Star Trek book signing. Jack's beloved 1959 boxing gloves go missing from his office.
4. Suddenly Susan Unplugged
Susan has to deal with the utility companies for the first time in her life. After she writes an article in The Gate the companies begin to hit back but Jack encourages her to fight on.
5. Hoop Dreams
Vicki asks Susan to stand in for a sick player at her basketball team but it ends in a towel fight in the locker room. Jack has in law troubles.
6. Lie! Lie! My Darling
Susan lies to get out of her dinner date with her parents but the lie catches up with her.
7. Golden Girl Friday
Jack hires an OAP at Susan's suggestion who goes on to sue The Gate for age discrimination.
8. Beauty And The Beasty Boy
Susan falls for a rocker despite the huge differences in life styles.
9. Cold Turkey
Susan tries to put on a traditional thanksgiving for her co-workers but everything goes wrong. Jack hires Dwight.
10. Was it Something I Said?
Susan reluctantly attends a charity function with Jack and Margo and Flip. The evening ends with Margo and Flip storming off leaving Susan to deal with a drunk Jack.
11. The Walk Out
The staff at The Gate go on strike over their Christmas bonus - not knowing that Jack and The Gate have financial worries.
12. The Me Nobody Nose
To prove personality is more important than looks Susan fits a large fake nose. Jack helps Luis with his citizenship exam. Todd and Vicki end up together after a massage.
13. Ways & Means
Jack assigns Susan and Vicki to write a parody of romantic self help guides but people begin to take them seriously. The pair appear on the Rosie O'Donnell Show.
14. What A Card
Susan accompanies Jack to his hated grandfather's funeral hoping to mend some fences - there's the predictable fiasco but this leads to a reconciliation between Jack and his grandmother. Vicki has a terrible Mexican vacation thanks to Luis and Todd gets a chance to see Area 51.
15. Love and Divorce American Style - part 1
Jack finally takes a stand with Margo and leaves her. Susan starts a relationship with Adam. Vicki tries to persuade Luis to sell photos of a celebrity to make money but Todd fights her plans.
16. Love and Divorce American Style - part 2
Luis and Todd help Jack set up a bachelor pad as he adjusts to single life. Susan meets Adam's ex and baby sits his children.
17. Love and Divorce American Style - part 3
Jack rebounds into a relationship with a German sports lover called Kate. Susan finds Adam in bed with his ex. Todd receives threats for slating a CD by Menuado who Luis loves.
18. With Friends Like These
Dwight finally comes clean to Jack about his background. Susan tries to shake an acquaintance who clings to her during her divorce. Todd grows apart from pal Jerry.
19. Where the Wild Things Aren't
Jack takes Susan Vicki Luis and Todd into the woods to motivate them. Vicki gets it on with Ranger Dave, Todd meets two beautiful woman and Todd bonds with a racoon. Susan and Jack hug in a cave after which Susan is convinced something happened but Jack denies it.
20. A Boy Like That
Jack continues to have sex in dangerous situations with Kate. Luis is reunited with his younger brother Carlos who is gay but Luis has trouble accepting that. Susan has trouble with Kip's engagement.
21. Family Affairs
Vicki warns Jack that Kate will eventually kill him. Susan arranges an anniversary parents for her parents who are having problems.
22. I'll See You That And Raise You Susan
Jack loses his magazine to his old roommate Cooper. Just as he gets The Gate back Susan announces she is spending a weekend with Cooper in Italy - a place where Cooper always comes back married.
