Judd surely prevented normalcy from prevailing at the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament, televised on NBC Sat. Jan. 24, 2004. It was a very entertaining show, touched by Judd's wonderful sense of humor as the game rolled along. In front of the camera, this man shows true talent for being a comedian using his own words, and actions, and without a script...he's simply terrific!

On a very tough day to play golf, from the 12th to the 18th hole, Judd and the other players hit pretty close shots, but strong wind conditions seemed to work against them. I imagine nothing could be more frustrating than hitting a perfect shot, and the wind taking the ball in another direction. Yet through such circumstances, Judd keeps us amused with his joking around. After one bad shot, Judd comes close up to the camera, and clearly whispers "I'm not very good!" Then smiles, revealing a witty sense of humor about himself.

When another shot was missed, John Smoltz says "Judd...you gotta take the glasses off!" Judd walks up to the ball and mutters "If they take the glasses off, they'd see rather bloodshot eyes!"

Judd partners with baseball player Rollie Fingers. When Rollie makes the shot, Judd cheers him on with an amusing victory dance. When Rollie misses, Judd goes "It's ok, I'm gonna make this putt, I'm gonna make this putt, don't worry!" He's really funny.

In the final round Judd & Rollie score highest coming in first place, in the raising of money for charity, which was a wonderful thing they've accomplished. - synopsis kindly supplied by fellow Judd fan ... Debbie :-)
